The rock cycle is a very interesting process. It is neat to see rocks change in the presence of weather, pressure and temperature. It is kinda of like rocks making new rocks. Rocks are constantly being formed, worn down and then formed again. It starts with a molten rock in the earths core. As it moves to the earths crust it becomes lava. When the lava cools it becomes igneous rocks. These rocks over time will erode by weathering and compact. This is sedimentary rock. It will harden by the sediment compacting by pressure. Usually occurs near a body of water. The rock will be pressed down into the earth and become metamorphic. The cycle begins again.
